How long have you been playing?
Since June 1995, so this is year number 17

How has the game changed since you've been playing?
There have been sooooo many changes. Pretty much the only thing that hasn't changed since I have been playing is what we define as our legal hit locations. I have seen a couple spell systems, a change from 3 pt armor to 2 pt, numerous weapon technologies and quite a culture shift.

Who have you learned the most from?
Hands down, you and Jarrod.

What was your best moment IC?
Best moment IC would have to be at the culmination of the Lord of the Rings plot when Baba went West. It was the perfect way to end that characters career.

What was your best moment as a NPC/EH/Player?
The best moment, wasn't actually at the moment it happened. The best thing to ever happen to me in game was when Jarrod gave me Folkestone. Of course, when he did it we were all a little shocked. But it really felt like winning the game to me. It was something that only a couple people in game had ever done, and to be picked by some of my *gasp* rolemodels to carry the torch was a huge honor.

What would you like to see changed or developed more in game?
I am a huge fan of continuity. I really like it when storytellers work together and we have cross pollination with plots. I think we could easily have a handful of events each year where storytellers worked together to promote that.

What advice would you give new players?
Put yourself out there. Don't be afraid to try things. It takes some time to get comfortable in the community, but as long as you put yourself out there and listen to people that have been playing when they give advice, you will fit in very quickly. Don't worry about knowing everything at once. Do your best to take all your shots as best you can. People will be much more forgiving if you die a lot than if you call your shots poorly. I could go on for hours, if you want more advice, catch me in person.

What do you love most about the game?
We really are a community. When I stop and think about it, there are people I see more often then my real life family. I have been going to the same event site (Lone Tree) for more years than most boyscouts ever do. The traditions, friends, and family that I have gained from the game are definitely what I love best.

Who would you like to see the next interview be with?
I think Robyn Neilsen and Alexander Sokolowski should do a joint interview. It will be epic.

Anything else you'd like to take the opportunity to put into print?
As a one time View Editorial Assistant, thanks for keeping it live Dave!
