Our Song by Toryn Gray

This is Our Song,
The long breaths we take
to get out our words,
when we just want to sing to each other

There is nothing wrong
with the words that we make
We can sing without regret
and surprise all others

We are the kindred lovers
of  our time
We are the Vox
or the Voice

It is not our choice.
We must flourish
within our own bodies
and exceed our limits.

We are not here to win it.
We are here to co-exist.
Therefor, this meeting is in our grasp
and in the clash of emotion . . . it ends

We are the sad Notes
of our own Concerto.
We are an unnamed Requiem,
but we don't have to be

We can be an Everlasting Melody
and paint life with words
We can be the Arduous Harmony
that can move mountains

This song we talk about,
it is not ours
we are this song and these Notes
we are this clash of emotions.

So let us March forward
with this Overture
and keep the Beat
with our hearts.
