Realms Zodiac

A long time ago, the races of the Realms have looked into the stars and wondered, "What if?", never realizing that in some places, in some planes, those very stars were looking right back at us,
wondering the same thing.  There's a lot the stars can tell us, if only we show a humble want for knowledge.

In recent years, a man visited the Realms who was not a man at all, but a fallen star who took on a human persona as Hesperus Star-keeper. As it is, a Star Person named Orion still walks with us from time to time. Both have names, both have houses, both have a purpose and a drive.

And, if you're willing to listen to the what the stars have to say, you might just find yours, too.


These are thoughts on how your Spring, heading into Summer, might be turning out.

Notable Leo

Aries:  Today is the day to fix your armor, update your spell-books, polish that gem until it gleams. It's all about cleaning house, and that also might mean a bit of clearing as well.  One can certainly dust off their old scabbards and shift around the pieces on their altar, but until you open that one window in your home and let some air get in, then the dirty piles from Winter are going to start getting rotten.  Mind the mold.

Taurus - Nobody likes that, so cut it out.  You've been prancing about long enough, artfully dodging Responsibility and blaming it on such silly things as how Gaia being persnickety with the mud, or Tom Rime's frost heaves.  The stars say to you: ENOUGH!  Are you not built with two hands, two feet, four limbs, and a head and a torso?  Then are you not complete?  The time to move is now.  Start taking that Responsibility and bear the weight on your back.  It's only temporary, anyway; it's not like you're going to be yoked to it.  Today.

Notable Leo

Virgo - Oddly enough, people are leaving you alone a lot more now, and for one so quiet, that could be a good thing.  You'll get to take long walks at gatherings during the day, admire flowers, trees, birdsong, all sorts of things one takes for granted.  You're going to get one, maybe two constant companions after a while, people you'll trust enough to quest with, but enjoy the quiet time of staring into a fire and just LISTENING, as much as you do.  Gaia holds you tight in the palm of her hand, you're going to be rooted to a certain place or spot that means something to you toward the end of the season, but again, this could be a good thing.  Don't fight it too much, unless you feel like you're being taking advantage of.

Gemini - "And betwixt them both, you see, they licked the platter clean." That's right, it's all about clearing the plate completely off and readying it for another meal.  Your projects need to be dealt with, you know this, and it's not like you hate them or anything, or are dreading the action. It's more like YOU HATE WAITING and there is a lot of down time associated with your projects.  The stars say: Wait or no, it won't get done if you don't DO it.  Sometimes we have to get through the boring, mundane pieces of the Realms to appreciate better the fantastic elements our lives have to offer.

Notable Leo

Cancer - Luna's moving herself around, so that constant want and drive to 'just feel safe' is about to be torn away.  With the bright light of Aurora shining down on everyone, the secrets and dramatics that were building up slowly during the dark of Winter are about to be reveal.  Problem is once more you'll be waiting in the wings instead of scuttling out into the limelight, where you actually want to be. Even if the situation has nothing to do with you, you'll listen in, insert yourself, purposefully steal the thunder and then claim ignorance should it be pointed out to you. No wonder you're such a Crab! Weather on through and get to Summer, where a tall drink and a smile await you at the end.

Aquarius - It's nice to be educated, no?  Well, that all depends.  With all the snow melting away, a flood of water and information has been cascading into your lap, and, like water, it's been slipping through your fingers faster than you can grab a jar to catch it all.  Information leaks out the sides and splashes over into the thirsty ground, never to be recovered (since your mind is like a sieve).  Take a breather, go slow.  Stop spilling, dammit.  You're a mortal.  Act like one.

Pisces - You're not the biggest fish in the pond, and you just watched the faeries re-enchant the place so there are even MORE fish to contend with!  What's a tasty dish like you to do when you have to compete for everything: a mate, a nation, status, power, even wit?  Stow it, Big Mouth Bass.  It's not about you versus them.  Let them all compete and you stay at the bottom to watch it all.  Sure, a lot of crud and muck comes down there, but after it's all said and done, you can rise to the top and let that bubble of smugness out.  You survived.

Notable Leo

Leo - HEAR ME *yawn* ... while things are starting to heat up, you're actually quite content to lounge around a bit more(granted, now you can do it outside, hooray!).  It'll take an opponent of special interest to get you to move from your sunny spot on the front line.

Libra - With the Winter behind you, it should be easy to live an uncomplicated life, right? Pointy end goes in the squishy thing.  At least, that's the hope.  It might behoove you to refresh your memory and motor skills on how exactly that pointy thing works, and who around y



ou is actually squishy and who is just un-dead.  You'd be surprised how many of your friends have taken the Pathway to Power, but that doesn't mean you have to follow them down that road.  If anything, you can look down from on high and weigh their mistakes against your own life experiences to see how everything is going to work out for you.

Scorpio - This is not your Season to Triumph, that's for sure.  Dealing with all the whining and belly-aching and bitching while you're attempting to concoct an Epic Ritual is bound to happen. Speaking of bound, that's what's going to happen to most Scorpios this Season, whether it's mental, emotional, physical, or spiritually. Protect the Soul, if that's your jam, will come in handy as you go out.  It's a bonus if you have Armored Cloak and a way to protect your mind, too.  If you're a Scorpio fighter, then invest in a shield. Whether that means an actual shield or a meat-bag with a wand is your call.

Sagittarius - You did it, you did it.  You really, really did it.  And now that it's completed, you can walk around all day and take it easy. Not that you would, but you CAN, and that is what's more important.  Congratulations!   Don't forget to update your spells and skills to reflect that.

Capricorn - The Realms at large is a big place, yes, and the World larger still. Every opportunity you have to greet someone new, do so.  Lend a helping hand.  Get your name out there, and sharpen your horns.  Get ready for the ride of your life, and everyone's going to know your name.  Make sure it's a respectable one.
