Stacked Deck Update - Ashen Bounty IV

At Ashen Bounty there was a poker tournament that had nine people; 25 gold buy in, two re-buys.  A lot of familiar faces and a gambling guild member gets his first points. There was not a casino, just a game that happened because Rillian asked Tao if there could be a game. We gathered several people who wanted to play, cleared off a table, and decided to play a tournament instead of a cash game (that came afterwards). 

So that it would not interfere with all of the courses, it was decided to be two hours, fifteen-minute blinds. It started at 25/50 and ended at 1000/2000 blinds. Each player started with 4000 chips (Tao had brought the Blackwood Clontarf Casino chips, like he does to every event, just in case).

There was a lot of action quickly; the nine were down to five in less than 45 minutes.  We stayed that way for a while until it came down to four:  Aeston, Enlon, Rillan and Tao. 

Aeston was the first out, earning him his first Stacked Deck points for the year. Rillian picked up a big hand and the chip lead. But it came down to the last hand. Rillian had folded, Enlon had smooth-called out of the small blind and Tao checked the big blind. The board came K, Q, 5 rainbow. Enlon at this point was the small stack and went all in. If Tao folded he had enough chips to come in second. Enlon said “Give me a chance to win the gold”- only first and second were getting gold. So Tao called, as he had a 5 in his hand, but Enlon had a pocket pair of six’s and took second.

Future gambling:

• November 7^th, Feast of Fairhaven: Clontarf Blackwood Casino, table games including Roulette, Craps, chuck a luck (new ish), Blackjack (with Jinx’s and Tao’s special bets), let-it ride, and the newest game Clontarf Trips (3 card poker) There will also be 25/30  gold poker tournament (Might be the last one to get points at).
• November 15^th, Feast of Autumn Twilight V: had the Royal Chimeron Casino last year where they debuted mini-Baccarat. My belief is they will make a return engagement.
• December 5^th, Order of the List: Creathorne Hula Girl Casino table games
• December 12^th, Tournaments of Artemis V: Clontarf Blackwood Casino, table games
• December 18^th – 20^th, Crazy Uncle Cecil’s tavern: Chimeron Royal Casino usually hosts, in the past they have done poker tournaments, but have had small fields, hope that changes this year. In the past, the gambling has only been on Saturday night.
