Stacked Deck Tournament Update

By James "Tao" Murphy

Good day people of the Realms:

For the 1020 season a few small changes and clarifications will happen to tournaments that the gamblers guild would like to see.

A standard amount of chips based on the buy in price:

If the buy in is less than 50 gold, then a minimum of 4000 chips
If the buy in is 50 gold up to 99 gold, then a minimum of 6000 chips
If the buy in is 100 gold or more than a minimum of 8000 chips

A “Dealer tip add-on” in tournaments of less than 100 gold buy in, 5 additional gold will get you an additional 1000 chips, this gold goes directly to the dealer for dealing the game.

In games of 100 gold or more its 10 gold for 2000 chips
This will not count against any rebuys the tournament allows

Any Stacked deck tournament will have the following payouts,

1 buy in will be put aside for the final table, if 4 or more rebuys happen then one of those will be set aside as well.

Third place will get the amount of the buy in as a prize.
Second place will get 1/3rd of the remaining prize pool
First place will get the rest. (2/3rds of the prize pool)

Points for the stacked deck final table will remain the same

1st = 5 points
2nd = 3 points
3rd = 2 points
4th = 1 point

Last year we standardized the blinds for most tournaments

25 – 50
50 – 100
100 – 200
200 – 400
300 – 600
500 – 1000

Most tournaments will be six 30-minute blinds for three hours. However, if it is 20-minute blinds the following levels may be added to make it 3 hours

800 – 1600
1000 – 2000
1500 – 3000

If more time is required, the following blinds can be used

2000 – 4000
3000 – 6000
5000 – 10000
80000 – 160000
10000 – 20000
