Why I Want To Go - Tournaments of the Blue Rose

Written by: Emma "Irri" Sherman

Hi friends, it’s Irri, here to tell you all about why I’m excited to attend Tournaments of the Blue Rose!

My friend and puzzle buddy Kharma has been working extremely hard to make sure her lands are more than ready to entertain the masses; with gambling, combat and non tournaments, and shopping~, there’s plenty to do for an adventurer such as yourself, dear reader ;D

I’ve already picked out my best options to prepare for the Best in Blue competition. I’ve learned I’m a terrible criminal, but I still plan to try my hand at the pickpocket tournament, if not to win then for comedic effect.

Personally, I’m looking forward to exploring the land and history of the Shadowlands. Is it literal or figurative Shadow? Are there shadow plants? Can I take a shadow home? I heard there’s treasures hidden amongst the lands as well!

Most of all, I am so excited to accumulate Rose Gold! Kharma is such a talented crafts person; one that I admire not only as an artist but as a person! To be able to collect and wear items created by her is what I look forward to most of all.

I hope my brief letter encourages you to attend with me; I’m looking forward to seeing you there!

With Sincerity,

Irri

Word From the West - Voice Log Transcriptions from Chimeron Questing

 Greetings everyone!

My clerks and I have compiled all of the words from the yellow gemstones into a written format for you to look through at your leisure. I believe there is much yet to be discovered about these logs. Why are they all yellow? What is Project Prism? How did it fail? If you discover the answers to any of these questions please reach out to me and my team as well as your fellow adventurers.

Yours in discovery,

Professor Mia

Making a Difference: Paladin Fund

This Saturday is going to be a fun filled, packed day.  Interesting tournies, kids quest, and so much food.  Beyond that, there will be a cash auction for the Paladins Fund.

The Paladins fund was created as a way to honor Dave Hayden's love of this community.  He made our game and interactions better in hundreds of ways, so I won't list them all.  But I remember his ideas to raise money to quietly help someone in need.  He would never tell me who it was, but I always trusted Dave to do the right thing.

The Paladins Fund isn't enough to make up for Dave being gone, but it is here to help our community.  In times of great hardships, people can reach out to the Fund to help with real life issues.  Maybe you need a hand with a bill, or something to get you through a rough week/month, or you know someone who is in need.  The fund wants to help.

Last year we helped a few folks, but we need to keep the fund full in order to keep helping folks.  Please consider bidding in the silent auction this Saturday, or donating to the auction.

Please reach out to kelly@bonci.com, or
philanthropyman@gmail.com with questions or donations.

Items that do well are: event entrances, gold, certificates to vendors/crafts people, weapons, and good alcohol.

Hope to see you this weekend, friends!

Why This One Wants to Go: Ashen Bounty XI

Written by: Justin "J'orsta" Thibeault

This Ashen Bounty is very unlike other Ashen Bounties that J'ortsa has attended in recent years. This new return to the old ways entices and excites J'ortsa, as he has not attended a proper feast in some time. Nor has he attended a tournament in just as long if not longer! Khajiit is glad to be in the company of many of his adventuring friends and acquaintances. And he looks forward to the many mocktails and gambling shenanigans that may occur within the tavern.

The day of Loredas ((That's Saturday for you common folk)) will be filled with plenty of activities that J'ortsa finds most curious and delightful. The tournaments will surely be filled with epic highs and the crowd will be entertained as always. And the kid's quest will prove just how strong the up-and-coming legions of adventurers are, and whether or not the budget cuts are affecting the quality of their training.

And for those of you that have stomachs that could rival the great Sir Jean Magnifique Try Baptiste, the monstrous appetizer contest should delight and terrify you! As the culinary minds of Ashenmark are eccentric and daring, no dish is too exotic for their chefs.

J'ortsa himself is looking forward the most to the Labyrinth beneath the Stoneheart. This one does not know what the Stoneheart is, but he heard there was treasure left reasonably but not excessively guarded and as such he will be making at attempt to purloin, err liberate it. As all saviors of the Realms must do.

Ashenmark court is a very elusive event, and this one is happy that he will be a part of the return of such formalities. As an observer. This one has no plans for Court, unless... But as this one knows so little of Ashenmark court, will be on the edge of his bench waiting in anticipation. ((Writers note: Id loooove to put a basketball joke here, but I am only so funny and creative.))

Sundas is also shrouded in mystery. And that is what excites Khajiit. This one hopes it is not another extradimensional threat, or evil lich that he must contend with. Although at least with a new lich perhaps Lord Elric will be less busy this time. Maybe this time it will be golems; this one has heard that Ashenmark has a lot of golems. Or perhaps kobolds that seem to infest all manners of locations in these kingdoms and nations. Whatever we will be tasked with, it is certain to be of no match for the combined efforts of the adventuring party that calls the Realms its home.

May your path lead you to warm sands,

J'ortsa

Watcher of the Skyless Sea

OOC:

I personally am really excited to see an Ashenmark feast, which may or may not contain cheese. And the weekend is full of fun activities that I know I will be enjoying, and hopefully the rest of yall will too! Im also really glad that Paladins Call is making its appearance here at this event, its a great cause and it makes me really happy that we can have something like it.

Any questing to be had when Ashenmark is involved has never disappointed. And that is what I am most excited for. I will look forward to seeing you all at Ashen Adventures in the next year, where we will all explore whatever new questline Ashenmark has cooked up for us.
