Spell Badly Once Again

The following text is spells from our Ominbus that have been translated into another language by using Google Translate and back into english using a machine learning algorithm at Translate.com.

Assassin's Blade translated to and from Dutch:

This spell allows the spellcaster to prepare his MC with the spells Armor-Piercing Weapon, Enchant Weapon or Create Poison, without using a molding, although the spell still needs to be used to prepare its preparation. 

To prepare the weapon with one of the listed spells, they need to wipe the edge of the firearm with the clothes 5 times. Only one spell may be executed on the Assassin's Blade at a time. Anyone can use the firearm, but only the spellcaster is allowed to use the special summon with it.

Light translated to and from Samoan:

This spell gives light. The broadcaster can use multiple light sources as needed. If using medicinal oranges, the spell caster should also carry a bag large enough to hold all the oranges they will be using and thick enough to preventing any light from escaping. 

The bag must be used when affected by a Disrupt Light spell. The spell caster may not grant any knowledge to anyone who would travel beyond easy speaking distance. This spell can be interrupted. It is the responsibility of the spell caster to know what the Disrupt Light spell is, how to recognize it, and how to respond to it.

Resist Magic translated to and from Greek:

This spell prepares an explosion of zero magic inside the speller. If the speller wishes, he can ignore a single magical puff. This skill can be used at any time, whether the speller is dead or not. A spellcaster cannot be under the influence of more than one Resist Magic spell at the same time. 

When they are targeted by a spell or effect against which Resist Magic protects them and the spell checker wishes to ignore the effect, they call it "Resist Magic". For example: this spell will allow the spell to treat a puff from a magical weapon as if it were a normal firearm strike, ignore the effect of any spell when first performed, ignore any alcohol during its first application, or cross the boundaries of a Protection Circle.

The spell ends if the Disenchant spell is cast on the speller (although the speller can use Resist Magic to prevent the Disenchant from removing any other spells on it). This spell cannot be cast on anyone other than the spell and will only protect the spell, not anything he has or possesses.

Shapeshifting translated to and from Welsh:

This allows the charmer to change shape into a human brute about their height and size. This transformation takes as long to complete as it takes the player to change into the appropriate camouflage uniform. 

The type and characteristics of the brute are up to the player. Once the shape change is complete, the player will respond to the ID spell as the new type of brute. This spell will mimic a type of universal brute, and cannot accurately imitate a named or unique brute, or appear as another PC. However, you are free to try to convince your casualty that you are more important than you really are. 

The shape-shifting form does not confer any grappling benefit or other NPC power, although they may appear to wear armor or carry larger weapons to complete the disguise.You may not in any way inform NPCs that you are NPCing. The polygon form ends if you are killed or any part of your disguise is dismembered. 

In addition, at the gateway of the event, the player is allowed to ask the EH or MM to borrow an appropriate face for the event in order to complete the virtualization. There are no guarantees that they will be able to provide the materials, so you may want to bring some yourself.

Why I Want to Go - Black & White 2023

Come one, come all!

The 2023 Black & White Masquerade takes place this weekend, and you are in for an experience! The day promises a wide range of content consisting of tournaments, delicious food, and plot. Some of the tournaments are ones you are already familiar with, and some, I have been told, are new. I admit that I am pretty curious. I think this team has very innovative and clever people at the helm, so whatever they come up with will surely be a blast.

Nighttime is my favorite part of Black and White because I love gettin’ fancy. Everyone dons their masks and fancy clothes before court, and you’d be surprised how well some of us clean up after a long year of adventuring, hah! Just be sure Death doesn’t catch you without your mask! Eep!

Squire Fern has been advertising an Autumn Dessert Showcase and the return of the Royal Pâtissier of Chimeron competition. If you haven’t seen the details, you can click Here for more information. The challenge for this year is cheesecake, so I hope you all arrive hungry so you may indulge in this most decadent of desserts. Just don’t eat so much that you can’t enjoy the dancing. That would be unfortunate. Additionally, you will have a Stacked Deck poker tournament and an auction to look forward to. There is a little something for everyone.

This event is a very meaningful one for our community. It is a celebration of the Day of the Dead and an opportunity to reflect and recall our favorite memories of those who no longer quest beside us in the conventional sense. This is a tradition that I hope we all appreciate for many years to come, and I am grateful that it has been a part of our lives for so many years.

The Cry of Midgard - Week 2

Welcome back! The first week of interaction and voting went very well and in just a moment you'll see the results below. Just a couple housekeeping notes first.

It was pointed out to us that since Discord lets you edit messages after they have been reacted to, that creates the temptation to abuse our system. So... please don't? If I notice that something has been edited it will have to wonder if I should really use the command or not.

I think the right schedule for these right now is bi-weekly especially because so much great content has been coming in. As we go through the winter and less events are happening I might increase this to a weekly feature.

What You Missed: Paladin’s Call

Holding an event is a labor of love for the community, while it offers the perks of being able to express oneself creatively, and allows us to be given the title of Event Holder, fundamentally it’s about giving back to a community we love. 

Paladin’s Call was a little bit different, in that it was held with the intent of honoring the spirit of someone who loved this community. Our Paladin. 

We took time remembering all the people who’ve left us in recent years. Speaking on them, thinking of them. 

Honoring the spirit of love for this community is really what you missed. 

While I was not at either of the Questing portions of this event; I heard that they lead to the meaningful discussion about what it meant to be a knight. 

I marshaled tournaments throughout the day on Saturday, —- and I’ll post the results of them at the end of this document, but for me, while they were the front and center content of the day, it wasn’t the main reason for being there. 

No, I would say the fundraiser was the reason for being there. Raising nearly 3,500 dollars, the Paladin Fund, in its inaugural showing is meant to support those of the community that need it. 

Honestly, having participated in the auction it was pretty amazing to see the generosity at play amongst the attendees. For me it seemed people were there for the right reasons, and ready to be generous. 

Again, I will reiterate, what you missed in truth was the honoring of love for our community.
