Merchants report that countryfolk living near Blackwater are crazed with fear, several among them swearing they encountered a necromantic nightmare skull-headed beast stalking them through the swamps.

Progress continues slowly on the study of the mirror despite the efforts of numerous scholars, seers and 1 paths with only combat spells. The only consensus they can reach is as the year presses on the reflections in the mirror are no longer exact
CHimeron City
Plants seem to be growing faster than usual in and near the city, with gardeners reporting having to cut back grass and hedges more frequently to keep them under control. More concerningly, some rats and other small animals have been found mutated, increased in size and covered in unhealthy-looking growths. There have even been one or two reports from citizens that "could have sworn that boulder was smaller before" - an inconvenient time, then, for some of the geologists staying in the city since last year's earthquake to have left the city.
West of Ligemad Sound River
The village hums with rumors of odd duplications that no one can explain. The blacksmith recalls hammering out a single sword, yet by morning two more lay cooling on their anvil as if forged in their sleep. The alchemist boasts of crafting a rare potion, only to discover twin flasks bubbling on their shelves where they swore they left just one. The mailman insists their route ended with the delivery of a solitary bundle of letters, though each household later reported finding multiples of the same sealed message waiting at their doors.
