Why I Want To Go - Ashen Bounty

Ashen Bounty
October 13, 2012 (Saturday 12pm) - October 14, 2012 (Sunday 4pm)

I'll be honest and say here that the main reason I am interested in this event is because of who is throwing it. Ashenmark has been stalwart NPCs and combat competitors for some time now. They are young and enthusiastic. They bring an energy and goodwill to the game that is refreshing. And I want to see what they can bring with their own questing event. This will be a full weekend of questing with a Saturday night feast included. It looks like the quests will include a wide range of activities and goals and I am looking forward to it all!

As mentioned in yesterday's post, this is an excellent site for quest style of events and a wonderful tavern for the feast on Saturday. If you are looking for more in-character information they recommend you visit their website (http://www.ashenmark.com/index.php/lore/); some of the info might be relevant to what the characters want to accomplish.

Why I Want To Go - Written Off

Written Off
October 12, 2012 (Friday 6pm) - October 13, 2012 (Saturday 12am)

One of the more interesting NPCs in the Realms is Amaden; a powerful creature able to provide the characters with their inner most desires, but with a price. Interacting with Amaden is always a fun and challenging role-play encounter. Now it seems like the characters may be able to gain some leverage on Amaden for a change...or might find themselves on the short end the stick again. Either way, this looks like a fun questing event with touches of dungeon delving thrown in as well. Sounds like a good time.

If you are looking for some more information that provides some insight into the philosophies behind this event make sure to point your web browser to (http://bit.ly/KoqS3x); there is some good info to be had here as it will give you a better understanding of what to expect. As far as the site itself, it is one of my more favorite ones; I'm not really sure why we don't use it more throughout the year. It has an excellent tavern, good woods and trails for questing, and is usually free of mundanes.

Grimloch Tribune

The Grimloch Tribune
By Callahan “Syruss” Marsden

LEAD STORY: Ninja’s, Pirates, and Hump House O my! (a comical story told by Theddy Quill)

Last Thursday sources from our T.H.U.G.S (terrors, horrors, undead, and ghoul squad; Grimloch’s elite undead hunting task force) Unit reported that two of its own were filing assault reports from an unknown assailant.
It was reported that last Thursday at approximately 9:45pm, two of the T.H.U.G.S agents Sir Rohde and Priest Syruss were seen entering their Unit headquarters with what appeared to be a series of bruises and small abrasions all over their face and arms.

Now anyone who knows the terrifyingly terrific tag team (terrifyingly terrific tag team is copyrighted under COOL THINGS ROHDE says corporation) knows they are not to be trifled with. So who would be so bold as to attack the brutally badass best buds?

Well an eyewitness (who whishes to keep their anonymity due to relation to the duo) states that Syruss reported as follows:

At approximately 9:45pm, while counting the Hump House’s Bar till for the day with partner Rohde a cloud of thick smoke appeared; impeding vision and making it generally hard to breathe.
At approximately 9:46pm, the dust cleared and standing on the table in front of the duo was an unknown assailant.
The assailant stood at roughly 5’4”, was wearing all black apparel, and their face was covered from eyebrows to the back of the head and from the tip of the nose; covering all around the face and neck  only showing a small portion of the skin around the eye area.
Syruss stated that his eyes were “yellow and skin was pale white almost  blue it was so white”.

Here is what was said on the attack, as reported by Sir Rohde:

Why I Want To Go - Just a Myth 4

Just a Myth 4: A Tale of Two Cities
October 6, 2012 (Saturday 12pm) - October 7, 2012 (Sunday 4pm)

One of the primary features of this plotline is that it brings you outside of your comfort zone and has you think in new and interesting ways. This event will bring more of that. It looks like there will be standard fare of questing, followed by something a bit different with an in-character wedding. Looks like an excellent stage for a fun weekend of questing and role-play.

If you are planning on attending the Friday event as well there is a price discount if you pay for both of them. This is one of those sites dedicated to Realms eventing and has been built up over the years with that in mind. This makes it an excellent site for questing for a weekend. They are also asking for more NPCs, so if you want to be part of the process that keeps our events fun, go and NPC.

Why I Want to Go - Dark Dissent V

Dark Dissent V: Crossroads
October 5, 2012 (Friday 6pm) - October 6, 2012 (Saturday 12am)

The Dark Dissent plotline has been on-going for some time now and features solid questing with stuff to hit and stuff to role-play with. It usually requires good character interactions and innovative thought. If you feel up to the challenge, this will be a good event to attend.

While this is a Friday night only event, there is another quest event being run on the same site the rest of the weekend. In fact, you can pay for both events and get a discount for the overall weekend prices. The site itself is excellent for questing for a weekend; no mundanes will be seen so character immersion is easy to maintain.

Why I Want to Go- Portals, Dragons, Monsters and Mages Oh! My!

Portals, Dragons, Monsters and Mages Oh! My!: Out of the Creepy Cave into the Dragons Mouth
October 5, 2012 (Friday 7pm) - October 7, 2012 (Sunday 5pm)

Here we have a solid three-day quest event. The premise seems to be all about entering a mysterious portal to another place. This should make for some fun exploration; after all, who knows what will be on the other side! If you've been following this line of events, this looks to be an excellent place to come in at the start of something new. And there is always something exciting about exploring the unknown!

This site is excellent for a 3 day in-character quest event. It is easy to get lost in your character for the weekend and leave the real world behind. There are a number of knighthoods and in-character organizations that will gain some perks, so make sure to check out the event write-up for more details. As always, they are looking for more NPCs, so if you want to help out the Realms this is an excellent opportunity.
