Do You Even Party was an excellent gathering of friends from this community once again showcasing their charitable natures for a worthwhile cause.
I have long since believed we are at our best as a community when we come together to champion a cause or to come to the aid of a community member fallen in on hard times. You get to see the true nature of the players who play this game. We come together and get past all the IC differences, past the different play styles and beyond countries and churches and guilds. When we do there is nothing we cannot do.
This event is the perfect venue to show just how strong we are together.
This time we came together to make paracord bracelets for “Operation Gratitude” as well as raise money for their foundation. We made over 50 bracelets and raised over $200 dollars for other needed items. We all learned the weaving technique together and through trial and error made all the bracelets we brought cord for.
Now Lani is not an all work no play type of lady. She and Jason made sure there were plenty of snacks (including three 4ft long party subs) as well as music dancing and tons of games. There were tons of board games and a wide variety at that and a VR headset for those brave enough to try beat saber and other simulations.
All in all, this was a very relaxing, extremely fun, OOC good time with friends all for a very worthy cause.
