Elementist! - Can only use stuff that are powered by the Elements (Teach the Controversy!), so Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Ether. ;)Or Paladin and make a 1-path religious hybrid. It would also be the first path that would require prerequisites, such as public displays, speeches, etc. as part of their MC/VC/ACs.
I like Janna's ideas up there. Besides that, I would really like distinct nature based magic paths...because Shaman and Druids are not the same thing, and I'm a huge fan of both and don't feel like they are adequately represented.
I'm a big believer in paths focusing on mechanics, and leaving the implementation/flavor/thematics up to each player. Binding mechanics too tightly to one expression ultimately hinders player creatiity. You can make an Elementalist now, or a paladin. You can also play, for example, a cursed/posessed undead character who mechanically is a shaman (sees and hears while incapacitated, immunue to poison/disease, regenerates).
I would love to see some sort of 'Arcane Archer' or something similar, you can essentially play one now with the right combos of other paths but having your 7th circle spell be your bow like an Assassin's Blade.
