To Fenrys Jainrose (Sir Pilpus), Stag’s Rook of Blackwood,
I write to you with excitement in my heart, and nervous anticipation. Evie’s Tavern is once again on the move, this time carried proudly on the backs of a team of spirited almirajes (they’re stronger than they look, though no less mischievous!). I cannot wait to see you again, dear brother, and to spend time with your lovely family in the beautiful grove in Eroewan. I’m sure the almirajes can’t wait to frolic in the forest either. But I must admit, this journey is more than a simple visit.
Since my last time in Blackwood, I have carried heavy thoughts. In Edaonae’s absence, noble spirits have risen to guide and protect your lands, but they do so without her power to aid them, and I fear they will carry that burden alone for too long. I have spent months in meditation, and I believe Gaia’s presence may bring the fuel and hope that Blackwood needs.
You understand Mother’s quiet and ever enduring strength, her healing energy, and balanced touch. Attuning myself to Gaia has brought me peace. It would bring me even greater peace to know she watches over you, and all who call Blackwood home.
When I arrive, I intend to speak with King Saegan, Sir Seeker, and the Great Beasts of Eroewan to propose a formal welcome of Gaia into Blackwood. Should they be open to her presence, I wish to mark the occasion not with quiet ceremony, but with a gathering for the ages: a Midnight Festival beneath the Strawberry Moon this June.
Let it be a celebration of hope and revitalization. Let it also serve a cause close to our hearts: we will raise funds to finalize the reconstruction of Santiaris, still left in ruin from the Western Grove’s assault, and enjoy its new amenities. There is healing to be done, and what better way to begin than with joy?
Please speak with the beings of Eroewan and share this vision. I seek not to impose, but to plant a seed; one I hope will grow with their blessing.
Sending my love,
Your sister, Evie
