I look forward to bardics, especially at events like QoH where people need to come up with something original. I do my best to watch/listen. :-)
Yes. This past Feast if Chim was particularly fun because of their bardic menu.
Ok I'm going to admit sometimes I don't watch all of the bardics. I love the idea of them. I want their to be culture in our game. I've seen and appreciated some amazing ones, and even when there are some that might not have been polished I love supporting members of our community when they are pushing themselves out of their comfort zone. All that said I have a bit of a short attention span, and if I'm not sure I'm going to stay focused to be a respectful appreciative audience member, I feel like it is better for me to remove myself from the bardic area (if I can do so) so I don't distract others.
At Janna and Ryan's QoH Bardic in 2004, I learned to pay attention as bardics can give people an opportunity to show talents you didn't know they had. That's happened a number of times over the years.I was particularly glad we stuck it out and stayed for Folkestone Puppet Theatre this year despite being cold and tired. It was definitely worth the wait!
